Perry Buckman is a Partner, President, and PIM Portfolio Manager at Buckman & Corning Financial Strategies Group in Scottsdale, AZ. He has more than 20 years of experience in the industry focusing on individual wealth management and corporate retirement plans. In 2007, 2008, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021 Perry was recognized as a Premier Advisor with Wells Fargo Advisors. The Premier Advisors distinction is held by a select group of Financial Advisors within Wells Fargo Advisors Financial Network as measured by completion of risk and compliance training, business  production based on the past year and professionalism.  Net asset flow (NAF) may also be used to determine recipients. Nicole Corning is a Managing Partner of the Buckman & Corning Financial Strategies Group of Wells Fargo Financial Network.  She holds several industry designations including that of CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ CFP®, Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor CRPC®, and the Accredited Investment Fiduciary AIF®.  She has been part of the finance and banking industry in Scottsdale, Arizona since 2001.

Nicole is a member of the Retirement Advisor Council and was named one of the Top Women Advisor by the National Association of Plan Advisors, NAPA*, in 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022

Prior to coming to Arizona, Nicole worked in Washington D.C. and had the honor of working on two presidential campaigns as well as several senatorial and congressional campaigns around the country.  Nicole is also a published author and hosts a podcast focused on working mother issues.  She has appeared on the Katie Couric Show and has been featured in Financial Planning Magazine, 401K Specialist Magazine, and Plan Consultant Magazine. In 2020 she was named the inaugural chairwoman of the American Retirement Association Council for Women.  She is active in the Scottsdale non-profit community and sits on the advisory board of the Care Fund, and is a graduate of Scottsdale Leadership Class of XXIV. Nicole graduated Cum Laude from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.  She has two young sons, three loyal rescue dogs, and has been (mostly) happily married since 2001.

    With over 30 years of experience in financial services, Karen is dedicated to helping the clients of Buckman and Corning Financial Strategies Group address their financial needs by supporting our Financial Advisors as they develop investment plans that will pursue our clients’ long-term goals.   Karen’s extensive experience in operations and compliance helps her to assist our clients and Financial Advisors with the administrative side of the business.

    After earning a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Concordia University in River Forest, IL, Karen began her financial services career as a trading assistant with A. G. Becker in 1981.  Karen joined Wells Fargo Advisors in 1991, where she worked in management until the end of 2019 when she joined Buckman and Corning Financial Strategies Group.

    Committed to helping the educational community thrive, Karen is a member of the board of the Concordia University Foundation.  After moving from the Chicago area in 1999, she and her husband reside in Scottsdale.  Away from the office, Karen and her husband enjoy hiking and traveling to visit family, friends and new places.

    Mari Buckman

      Mari Buckman joined the team at Buckman and Corning Financial Strategies Group nearly a year ago as a Branch Administration Associate. She recently graduated with a Bachelors in Science from Arizona State University, dual majoring in Political Science and Philosophy. Mari is an Arizona native, born and raised, who loves to travel the world. When she’s not traveling, she enjoys spending time with family and rescuing and rehoming animals, although, thus far most of the animals have found a wonderful home with her. Mari is passionate when it comes to assisting people build their futures and plan for their retirement.
      Danny Comforti

        Danny Comforti is a Financial Advisor at Buckman and Corning Financial Strategies Group. He has been in the financial industry since 2020. He holds the industry specific designations including FINRA securities registrations Series 7, Series 63 and Series 65. 

        Prior to beginning his role at Buckman and Corning, he began his professional career as a life insurance agent before transitioning into institutional fixed income brokerage in the Bay Area, California. He graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor's in Science of Communication, along with a Minor Certificate in Sales and Marketing. He was a Student-Athlete on the university's swim team and competed at the 2021 U. S. Olympic Swimming Team Trials. 

        As a Financial Advisor, Danny is committed to bettering the lives of his clients by guiding them toward their financial goals. He believes that everyone needs a plan and someone in their corner to assist with decisions regarding their future. He always puts his client's best interest at the forefront of every decision he makes while providing them with tailored and strategic financial advice. 

        Danny enjoys weightlifting and swimming in his free time.

          Rebekah's time in the financial services industry began back in 2015 at a Merrill Lynch office in her hometown, Fresno, CA,  as a part-time unregistered Client Associate.  It was there that she developed a passion for customer service excellence and efficient processes. Life took her to Gilbert, AZ in 2017 where she continued to pursue multiple roles in the industry and obtained FINRA Securities Registrations Series 7 and 66. She is grateful to be back in the Client Associate role with Buckman and Corning Financial Strategies Group to assist with the financial needs and goals of our clients. 

          When she is not at the office, she loves to be with her husband and daughter. Together they like to walk their dogs, try new places to eat, and play video games.

          Kathleen Wilson

          Kathleen Wilson

            • Operations Manager
            Kathleen Wilson, Operations Manager, has worked in the Financial Services Industry for 22 years. During her career she has worked as a compliance manager where she assisted in supervising up to 52 support staff, reviewing account activity, training, and problem solving all while focusing on efficiency. 

            Kathleen holds the FINRA Securities Registrations 7, 66, 9, 10, 23 and AZ Insurance License.  Kathleen strives to provide exceptional client service and is responsible for all operational items with the Buckman Corning Financial Strategies Group including trading, account reconciliation, scheduling and transferring assets.

            Kathleen loves cooking and reading. She and her husband Dale are originally from the Pacific Northwest and have enjoyed living in Arizona for the past 23 years.  They stay active with their two children and many outdoor activities including hiking, camping and sports.
            Melissa Rodriguez

            Melissa Rodriguez

                Melissa Rodriguez is a Client Associate at The Pathlight Advisors of Buckman & Corning Financial Strategies Group. This is her entry roll in the financial services industry. She began her journey with The Pathlight Advisors in September of 2022. She is currently studying for her Series 7 and Series 66. 

                Prior to beginning her roll with The Pathlight Advisors of Buckman & Corning Financial Strategies Group, her work experience began in 2016 as an Administrative Assistant for a real estate and property management company. Since then, she has worked across several industries ranging from managing medical facilities, an immigration legal assistant, and an auto claims adjuster. 

                As a Client Associate, Melissa is dedicated to assisting the Financial Advisors with client operational procedures. She is devoted to facilitating client relationships with their Financial Advisor. 

                Melissa is currently a student at Arizona State University studying Economics with a minor in finance and public relations. During her free time, she enjoys going to concerts and discovering new cuisines.
